So I got an email from a man named Raindeer. When you get someone with a name like that you have to keep reading. It turned out to be the man behind Behold the Old Bear. Funnily enough I was enjoying their cover of the Peter Gabriel classic Solsbury Hill a couple of nights before, so it was a nice surprise to get the email. Raindeer can usually be found playing drums for Mitchell Museum, but while they were on a break, he began to create his own band, utilising the new upcoming talent- as well his brother and co Mitchell Museum member.
After the gruelling task of putting together the band-Raindeer admits to being 'horribly picky' Behold the Old Bear eventually began to play gigs. So far they have only done three but have another coming up soon as well as being asked to play a Doune the Rabbit Hole Festival as well as the Kelburn Garden Party. You can have a listen to Behold the Old Bear below and check them out at either of the above gigs.
